May 1, 2020

Dear Resident:

Effective Monday, May 4, the Queen’s Harbour soccer field will reopen subject to the following conditions that are consistent with federal, state, and local coronavirus guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As you know, COVID-19 is a very infectious disease that can have serious adverse health consequences. Accordingly, USE THE SOCCER FIELD AT YOUR OWN RISK and take every precaution to make the soccer field a safe environment for all.

  • The soccer field can only be used for individual exercise. No group activities are permitted, such as team sports or practices, picnics, and social gatherings.
  • Limited to residents only and no guests.
  • No more than 10 people can use the soccer field at the same time.
  • Maintain social distancing at all times, staying at least 6 feet away from other people.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Bring your own water bottle, towel, and sanitizer. Please note that the tennis restrooms are closed as well as the pool restrooms.

Do not use the soccer field if:

  • You feel sick or are exhibiting any coronavirus symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell).
  • You have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  • You are a vulnerable individual (e., elderly individuals and individuals with serious underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma, and those individuals whose immune system is compromised such as by chemotherapy for cancer and other conditions requiring such therapy).
